Groups and residents from your local area want to create a parish (or neighbourhood) council in Balsall Heath. They have put forward a proposal to Birmingham City Council and they are campaigning on the issue locally.
Approachable Parenting’s Five Pillar’s of Parenting Pregnancy and Beyond programmes will be starting on June 12, 10-12 .
Spread Your Wings is a creative wellbeing project for young women of all backgrounds.
Working with local volunteers to help them produce an archive, reflecting W&T’s extensive body of work. They’ll be hosting 2 consultation events:
The Mobile Household Recycling Centre (MHRC) will be returning to the neighbourhood.
In December 2022, Balsall Heath residents cast their votes to decide whether they wanted to neighbourhood council. Residents overwhelmingly voted YES, with 78% voting in favour. Unfortunately, despite meeting similar turnout levels to previous local elections we did not meet the threshold of 25% turnout as set by Birmingham City Council. Therefore, Birmingham City Council has asked us to run a second ballot to decide.
