UPDATE – Balsall Heath Neighbourhood Council
In December 2022, Balsall Heath residents cast their votes to decide whether they wanted to neighbourhood council. Residents overwhelmingly voted YES, with 78% voting in favour. Unfortunately, despite meeting similar turnout levels to previous local elections we did not meet the threshold of 25% turnout as set by Birmingham City Council. Therefore, Birmingham City Council has asked us to run a second ballot to decide.
Quite simply put, we need more residents to use their vote so we can meet the voter turnout of 25%. In June, all Balsall Heath residents will receive a postal vote, this will have the voting paper and a return envelope, this needs to be posted before 3rd of July!
We are taking this second ballot as an opportunity to reengage with residents to lead a community led campaign. There are several info sessions being held at key locations, please do attend:
Saturday 3rd June at the Moseley Road Baths, running 11:30-1pm for Drop-in.
Saturday 3rd June at Balsall Heath City Farms, running 2-4pm for Drop-in.
Tuesday 6th June at Balsall Heath City Farms, running 7-9pm for Drop-in.
