Residents and local organisations have been showing their support and appreciation for NHS staff and other key workers who are keeping us safe during the current pandemic.
At 8pm on Thursday 25th March, the streets of Balsall Heath, Sparkbrook and the whole country echoed to the sound of people on their doorsteps and hanging out of windows taking part in #ClapforOurNHS. Social Media as since been full of videos of people taking part and words of gratitude from staff who have been on the frontline of care.
Meanwhile, the Sultan Bahu Trust and Islamic Help have been distributing packages to those in need in B11 and B12. As a gesture of thanks, they also delivered muffins to Highgate Fire Station and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
