Youth Covid Challenge
Covid guidance can be confusing and hard to understand… Youth Covid Challenge is a group of young people retelling the rules!
FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, BY YOUNG PEOPLE
Join our Welcome Meeting on 14th January at 7pm on Zoom. Register here to attend.
We are a group of volunteers age 11 to 18 who live, study or work in Hall Green.
Our mission
Our messages are created by young people, for young people.
We channel different voices, ideas and experiences.
Our team represents the different types of people in the Hall Green area, Birmingham and beyond!
We empower young people by enabling them to know what the Covid rules are and how they impact on them, their friends and family.
What do we do?
We work together to simplify government Covid rules and guidance
We meet every Wednesday from 7pm – 8:30pm on Zoom to hear your ideas and experiences
Outside the zoom meeting you will need to spend an hour creating the work you’ve agreed with the team
We use online and offline multimedia to retell Covid messages in your words and using your experiences
Emotions, feelings and mental health is central to our project
We ask for 2.5 hours a week commitment until March 2021 (term time only)

Accord’s Hall Green Families Team are leading on the NHS England ‘Health Information Champion’ project as Youth Covid Challenge. Working alongside NHS England, we are aiming to support young people in the Hall Green locality by establishing a youth volunteer group to co-design Covid-19 / Winter / mental health messages. These messages will be shared by young people to their peers using digital and offline platforms.
The messages will be signed off by the @HealthyBrum team, as part of Public Health England. We are inclusive, diverse and accessible thanks to our connections within the Hall Green locality.
