Would you like to volunteer with us at the Blossom Branch?

We are going to be hosting two drop-in days to learn more information about our new roles: Project Volunteer and Welcome Volunteer.

This will be an opportunity to register your interest  If you can’t make a time during our drop-in days on the 26th and 27th June, and would like to learn more, email Birmingham-blossom@nationaltrust.org.uk or call the branch at 07974 389788 for more information.

Roles

Welcome Volunteers

What’s involved: We’re looking for someone who can help create a warm welcome for visitors taking part in our Thursday Late sessions at the branch, which includes crafts, talks and clay activities. The role requires a lot of multi-tasking, as it involves everything from assisting with the delivery of activities/workshops taking place, to helping keep the space looking fabulous and safe alongside other administrative tasks. Audiences are usually adults and older children, though it can vary.

Availability required: Thursdays 4:00pm – 8:00pm

Project Volunteers

What’s involved: We’re looking for someone to assist with the delivery of pre-planned nature themed activities as part of our programme of Saturday events.  This role involves supporting artists and visitors during our workshops and drop-in activities in a variety of ways, whether that’s setting up the room for workshop leads, demonstrating staff led activities, or working to create a safe and happy environment within the Blossom Branch. All activities are family friendly, so this role will suit people who like working with children, want to meet new people, and want to help those living in Balsall Heath to care for and connect with nature.

Availability required: Saturdays 10:00am – 5:00pm
