Supporting young people into adulthood
The People for Public Services forum would like to invite you to its online forum on Tuesday 8th September 2020, 2pm – 3pm.
A young person will go through a number of stages as they grow and develop. This can be an exciting time, but also sometimes worrying – even more so if you have special educational needs or a disability, such as Autism or Learning Difficulties, etc.
Young people face many complex challenges and barriers, but some challenges can also lead to trauma that affect them as they enter adulthood and beyond. These could include being a young carer, being at risk of sexual exploitation, domestic abuse, offending behaviours, drugs and alcohol related issue.
The forum will be asking for your views on how we can support young people who may need guidance on their journey into adulthood to realise their ambitions and accomplish positive outcomes linked to employment, accommodation, community connections and good health and wellbeing.
