Police to use Section 60 Stop and Search powers

We’ll be using s60 powers in #Sparkbrook until 2am tomorrow morning. These allow us to stop and search people without the need to show reasonable grounds.

Section 60 powers have been authorised in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed just before 3pm on Monday 20 January 2020.
 
The boy has been taken to hospital with serious injuries as enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the attack begin.
