Larches Green Park Flood Lights
We are a group of 5 students from the University of Birmingham running a 6-week campaign with the aim of the city council to install flood lights in Larches Green Park.
This came from our call to action that the parks needed to be more accessible, especially during times of COVID, for exercise. We want parents to be able to take their children to the parks in the winter months when it is dark by the time they are home from school and as the area surrounding Larches Green Park is densely populated we felt this would be the most beneficial.
Please take a moment to look at our petition at https://www.change.org/p/birmingham-city-council-install-floodlights-in-larches-park-sparkbrook. We would love to create this change to help the community of Birmingham that we have been so fortunate to be able to study in. Also we have created a Facebook page which we will update with healthy lifestyle tips and tricks a few times a week and share any advancement on the petition, it can be found under Lights Up: Promoting a healthier Birmingham. Thank you for taking the time to read this feel free to drop us an email with any questions or queries.
