Gina Maddison – author ‘The Girl from Guildford Street’. A talk by Gina Maddison about her life growing up in a working class area of Birmingham. Gina is a former retired librarian with both Birmingham and Sandwell councils with a particular interest in local and family studies. Her book, The Girl From Guildford Street 1957-1968 and published under the pen name Grace Caroline Holte, tells her story of growing up as one of the last of a generation to be brought up in a back to back house.
