Hope, Change and Grow at Balsall Heath City Farm

This event has ended

We’re having some half term fun at St. Paul’s Venture, Sparkbrook next to Balsall Heath City Farm, on 23rd February 2017, 12 to 4pm!

Come and join us for free family fun including cycling, games, sports and stalls representing local services. The Real Junk Food Project Brum will be there offering ‘Pay as you feel’ food.

The event is next to the City Farm  – a little Farm opened in 1980 and is an inner-city oasis providing local families with access to animals that you otherwise might not see. It is a valued community asset struggling for survival in Balsall Heath, with visitors who came as children now bringing their own little ones down to see the 50 animals that live on the Farm!
It is free for the community to visit, but as we receive no funding from the local council or national government, please make a donation in the box to help care for the animals and maintain the site.

The event is the second ‘Hope and Change’ event, the first being at the Old Print Works on 7th February. The events help us to meet more people and develop more activities in new places, working with local organisations and schools:

‘It’s great and really important to talk about what we need where we are. I’m really looking forward to the next one, and seeing more things for us at our school.’
