Moseley Park and Pool
93B Alcester Rd, Birmingham B13 8DD (Entrance next to Dixons Estate Agents)
Situated south of Birmingham, Moseley Park is beautifully maintained gated greenspace with plenty of species to discover in springtime.
This foraging course venue is easy to get to from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Redditch, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
After we have covered some of the basics of foraging, we will explore the park to find edible and poisnous species. During the day, you will discover how to identify some commonly growing edible plants and mushrooms, how to avoid poisonous lookalikes, what to do do harvest edible finds, and where to look to try and find these species again.
There will also be opportunities to experience the flavours of nature’s larder with wild food tasters and preserves – such as souops, pestos, herb rubs, vinegars, pickels, jams jellies and syrups – offered along the way.
The exact meeting location and park access details will given two days before the course date.
Participants must be aged 18 or over.
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the course.
Moseley Park members are eligible for a discount on courses. Please email info@moseleypark.co.uk for more information.
