Community Transport volunteering opportunity
Could you help create a voluntary community transport service for older and socially isolated residents of Sparkbrook and Balsall Heath?
The project is supported by the Royal Voluntary Service, which provides start-up funding, training, insurance, DBS and driving compliance checks, guidance and mentoring for volunteers and all necessary support to ensure the success and sustainability of the scheme. We believe that this service would make a great difference to the lives of elderly people in our area.
In order to bring this plan forward we are looking for volunteers for several key roles. These include the roles of Branch Bookkeeper, Branch Admin Assistant, First Visit Volunteer and Volunteer Coordinator. These roles are essential to the day to day running of the project and come with extensive training, offering the opportunity to develop new skills in community development work.
If you are interested in any of the above roles or you would like further information on the operation of the scheme please contact Alan Davis at alan@acpgroup.org.uk
