Birmingham Race Impact Group – Young People’s Debate
Punch Records want to hear from young people & youth groups that want to help shape Birmingham as an Anti-Racist City.
In 2022, the Birmingham Race Impact Group (BRIG) will be creating the First BRIG Bi-Annual Race Youth Summit (a mouthful, I know!) with an aim to fight against racial injustice and to boldly discuss topics that young people passionately care about in their city.
We are looking for any young people (between 16 and 25) who have the fire in their belly to stand up against racial injustice (no matter how directly affected they are) and who want to co-create a better future for the young people of Birmingham because THEY are the voices of today that will be the direction of tomorrow!
We would like to start the co-designing process this month in preparation for the summit later this year. It will be a chance for young people to produce an event that is suited to them and how they wish to express themselves and not be dictated by the structure of another organisation.
