Bike loans for emergency frontline staff

Big Birmingham Bikes and the Big Bike Project loan bikes for community led rides, teaching people to cycle and for short term day loans to improve people’s mental and physical wellbeing.

In light of the current situation with public transport being reduced and the need for key workers to get to work safely, we are loaning our fleet of bikes to those people working on the frontline emergency services and whose work is critical to the Covid-19 situation.

To apply for a bike loan, you must live in Birmingham, be aged over 18, be a safe and competent cyclist on the road and be a key worker whose job is vital to public health and safety during the coronavirus lockdown.

Loans will initially be on a 3 month basis and will be issued on a first come basis. You will be expected to provide your staff ID card on receipt of the bike, proof of address and Wellbeing Card.
