I carry the BRCA2 gene which meant I was high risk breast and ovarian cancer. I had preventative surgery and believed I’d freed myself from the worry only to find out that as my breast surgeon was a fraud, my surgery may not have been performed correctly. The surgeon is now in prison and being a comedy writer I decided to tell my story to a wider audience, hoping to give hope to others who’ve had similar surgery.

The event is aimed at women who’ve had life changing surgery, body image issues, menopause and/or mental health.
